Sri Yukteswar was referred to as a 'Gyanavatar' by Yogananda; that is, an avatar of wisdom. Although his gaze may seem severe to anyone who is unfamiliar with his energy, Sri Yukteswar lovingly guides us towards releasing our delusions and using our God-given strength to free ourselves from the captivity of ignorance. In celebration of his life and teachings we will come together to enjoy chants, sharings and stories inspired by his ray, and we will offer our gratitude for his wisdom and guidance through an inspiring and devotional ceremony.
